My childhood was spent in the Southwest where triple-digit temperatures were standard summer fare. We lived miles away from the nearest public pool and nowhere near a wading stream. So I kept cool by running through the lawn sprinklers.
Although this is a time of celebration, it can also be a trying time for our bodies. Winter weather makes it tough sometimes to stick our noses out the front door. Our skin can feel dry and rough. And then there’s those mysterious aches and pains we haven’t felt since last February. Time for a little personal care with scented bath salts and a hot tub of water.
It’s ironic that after a tough day it can be hard to get to sleep. Our minds sometimes refuse to slow down. Personally, I hate laying in bed with my brain running like a gerbil on an exercise wheel. This can happen at odd times - most often when the day was eventful...
