Creamy Cilantro Lime Chicken
Cilantro is a versatile herb and can be used in many dishes to enhance the flavor. One of cilantro’s very closest friends, is lime juice. When paired together something magical seems to happen. For a unique creamy chicken recipe, try this version using both lime juice and fresh cilantro. Your taste buds will thank you (and so will your family).
Chicken-Potato Stew
This is a South American dish usually served during the Christmas holidays. That may seem a little odd, considering it requires fresh cilantro which grows in warm weather. But remember that Christmas occurs in the Southern Hemisphere during their summer. Serve this anytime you want a hearty, flavorful stew.
Fresh Lemon Balm Bread
This recipe uses an old fashioned (but effective) technique to make quick breads moist. You may remember eating “poke cake” where the cook poked the surface with a toothpick and then poured liquid Jell-O over the top. This uses the same technique but with an herbal topping.
Sage Cheese Straws
How about something cheesy for a late-night snack? These sage cheese straws can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container for the next family movie night.
