The second Thursday in March is Popcorn Lover’s Day, celebrating a snack dear to the heart of most Americans. It’s light, fluffy, crunchy and can stand up to some serious flavoring. Here are a couple of quick popcorn seasoning recipes you can use to flavor 16 cups of popped popcorn:

Garlic-Herb Popcorn
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon each fresh rosemary, sage and thyme
Finely mince the garlic and herbs before adding them to the melted butter in a saucepan. Simmer for about one minute to allow the seasoning to blend. Pour over popped popcorn and season with salt to taste.
Parmesan-Rosemary Popcorn
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
Combine seasoning in a small bowl and stir together well. Sprinkle over popcorn and season with salt to taste.
Chipotle Popcorn
- 4 Tablespoons melted butter
- 2 Tablespoons chipolte hot sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
Combine seasoning in a small bowl and stir together well. Sprinkle over popcorn and season with salt to taste.
Cajun Popcorn
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 Tablespoon Cajun seasoning, your choice
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine seasoning in a small bowl and stir together well. Sprinkle over popcorn and season with salt to taste. Add finely chopped green chives for extra flavor.
